At Right To Ride we especially welcome the Northern Coasters Scooter Club as supporters – the first scooter club out of many that are based in Northern Ireland.
The club has entered its 10th year while most of the clubs members have “been at it” for the last 30 years.
With current membership standing at 22 members the club attends scooter rallies in Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, Germany, Belgium, Holland, France, Italy…
As the club name suggests they are based on the north coast – Portrush, Portstewart, Coleraine and surrounding areas and like most clubs in Northern Ireland, whether scootering or motorcycling they hold a rally, this years (2015) rally will be in the Coleraine area – tbc 27th June 2015.
The club has members in national clubs such as Lambretta Club of Great Britain – Ulster Lambretta Club – Lambretta Club of Ireland – Vespa Club of Ireland – Vespa Club of Britain – Vintage Motor Scooter Club to name a few.
Also along with Suited & Booted SC and Bad Samaritans the club has formed the North West Alliance Scooter Club.
For us at Right To Ride, we always seems to mention motorcycling, perhaps we should use that term – Powered Two Wheelers (PTWs) which encompasses motorcycles – scooters – mopeds.
As scooters whether of classic – vintage – modern – have always had a place in two wheeler history and certainly in the future of two wheels from transportation to a strong sense of community brought together by the scooter – the music – the lifestyle!
