New Shot Blasting And Restoration Service Now Open

photo 8small RW Powder Coatings Ltd are based near Moneyreagh on the Hillsborough Road Comber. This company has now expanded its operations to offer shot blasting in a variety of media and wet spraying services to the general public.

What does this mean for motorcyclists with an ongoing rebuilt project, or about to start that winter project, or just in need of bits and pieces brought back to new?

Jonathan Webb from RW Powder Coatings comments, “I have been doing small quantities of high quality work like this for 10 years and now wish to do more as we have our own blast facilities. Well known pieces I have done include frames for Ryan Farquar’s race team bikes and the restoration of Carlos Sianz’ Celica GT4 WRC car.

Motorcycle components generally are blasted with a suitable media taking care to block any threads and bearing houses. The same applies when coating with a epoxy powder primer. We hold a stock of over 700 different colours for a customer to choose from.

No job is considered too small and we aim for a turnaround of 2-3 days”.

Other services that RW Powder Coatings now offer include restoration and refinishing of gates and railings, restoration of a variety of car parts including chassis, brackets, suspension components and alloy wheels, motorcycle frames and accessories along with Farm Machinery and Industrial Equipment cleaning.

No Job Is Considered Too Small!

Along with Competitors in local motorsport and road racers competing in the North West 200, riders such as Justin Reid (multiple British and Ulster Quadcross Champion), are choosing to use RW’s super durable powders to withstand the aggressive conditions which their Quads are put through.

As each job of this type is unique, you can contact Jonathan or Roy at RW Powder Coatings to discuss anything that they may be able to help with.

At Right To Ride we have a few bits and pieces that could be stripped off the bike and coated – hand us those spanners and sockets!
