At Right To Ride we are getting ready to reactivate our Bikers RVoters.
Over the next week or so we will be changing the website to reflect next years Council and European Elections.
With elections to the European Parliament and local councils next year, the Electoral Office for Northern Ireland is carrying out a comprehensive electoral canvass, “Field staff will be delivering canvass forms between Saturday 24 August and Saturday 21 September and members of the public are being asked to return their completed forms to the Electoral Office in the prepaid envelope provided by Friday 27 September 2013.
Individuals who return their completed forms will appear on the new Electoral Register which will be published in early December.”
“Being on the Electoral Register safeguards your democratic right to vote and ensures that you have your say in elections. Even if you don’t intend to exercise your right to vote, it still remains a legal obligation to register. Registering to vote is easy and I would ask everyone to take just a few minutes to complete the registration form and return it to us by the 27 September deadline.”

The European Parliament has announced the dates of the next election for MEPs.
The 2014 European Parliament election in the UK is scheduled to be held on 22 May 2014
Other EU member states European elections will take place between 22-25 May 2014!
Reference to the new councils in Northern Ireland is regards the new super councils, which there is still doubt about the proposal to shrink the current 26 councils down to 11.
For the rest of the UK, elections are to be held for all 32 London boroughs, all 36 metropolitan boroughs, 76 second-tier district authorities, 20 unitary authorities and various mayoral posts, all in England.
