Adelaide Kells to Kells Ride-out

The 4th Annual “Adelaide Kells to Kells Ride-out” steps up a gear!

The Kells Community Centre will be the place to be on Friday 15th July! Crowds will be amazed by the spectacular Trial Bike and Stunt Riding display at 7pm and motorcyclists who take extra special care of their machines could WIN a £100 Hein Gericke voucher for the best turned out motorcycle!
Tea and biscuits will be available at 8pm before a very special talk from local, and world renowned, photographer Stephen Davison as he gives a fascinating insight into the stories behind his work which will be displayed in the main hall of the Community Centre.
The Buff’s club will see the evening draw to an entertaining end with the traditional Ulster Scots music!
Camping is available at the Kells & Connor Football grounds from 6pm with shower and toilet facilities for overnight stay.
Saturday 16th July will see a see a festival atmosphere at the Kells Community Centre from 11am with family fun including a bouncing castle, large slide, bungee run, assault course and more!
There will be a BBQ and both children and adults can join in the fun as part of the fancy dress competition for the best dressed Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker with prices on offer for first, second and third place as decided by our very special guests who have travelled from far far away to join the fun at Kells!
Keep an eye out for any unusual looking visitors in the village!!
Local radio station “Seven at 107FM” will be broadcasting live from the Kells Community Centre and reporting back on our very special guests, as well as all of the fun and festivities of the day!
At 2pm the riders will set off on the 4th Annual “Adelaide Kells to Kells” Ride-out organised by the Quay Vipers MCC www.quayvipersmcc.com in support of Transplant Sport UK, and make their way to Kells Co. Meath, ahead of “Adelaide International Kells Road Races” on Sunday 17th July.

Fun & Festivities in Kells Co. Meath!

Thursday 14th July will see the village of Kells in Co. Meath gear up for this fantastic weekend. The “Walk for Caoimhe” sponsored walk around the race track at Crossakiel will begin at 6:30pm at the Race Paddock.
Friday 15th July will see World Stunt Riding star and regular to the Adelaide International Weekend, Mattie Griffin, entertain and wow the crowds with his spectacular stunt riding show and mini moto racing will thrill those who fancy themselves as the next Ryan Farquhar! Both attractions take place in Farrell Street from 6pm – 9pm, Kells Co. Meath.
In preparation for the arrival of the “Adelaide Kells to Kells” Ride-out, Kells Co. Meath will kick off their festivities on the Fairgreen between 2pm & 9pm on Saturday 16th July, with the ever-popular Bike Fest!
There will be free fun for all the family with bouncing castles, face painting music and the star attraction Mattie Griffin will return to perform 3 amazing shows!
The Fairgreen will once again be a hive of activity with many ride-outs arriving during the day from all over including the Lady Bikers “Belles for Kells” ride-out for Caoimhe.
Practice for racing at Crossakiel will commence at 1pm on Saturday 16th July with the first race of the 2011 “Adelaide International Kells Road Races” kicking of at 11am on 17th July
Fun for all the family, and with very special visitors from “out of town” the “Adelaide International Weekend,” is a must for bikers and non-bikers alike!

    The fantastic Emerald Garrison, Ireland’s Premier Star Wars Costuming Club, will bring the characters of Star Wars to life as they descend on the village of Kells to help judge the fancy dress competition and join in the fun and festivities!
    Keep an eye out for any Storm Troopers in the village! The Kells Community Centre will be opening its doors to some very special motorcycles, on display for all to see.
    These bikes will include Joey Dunlop’s Honda RS125, 2002 Honda SP1 Joey Dunlop TT Replica, Ryan Farquhar’s ZX10 Kawasaki, 1957 Triumph T100, 1987 GSXR1000 and Suzuki 1998 Ducati 916 with more to be revealed!
