Bangor Car & Motorcycle Show

Ride It Right which has been working hard to promote bike safety in Northern Ireland and to gain acceptance by agencies that are involved in road safety, heads to the Bangor Car & Motorcycle Show at the Elim Church tomorrow, Saturday 28th May 2011.

Event organisors promise a great day out for the whole family with UKFMX: World back flip record holder Gary Taylor returning with his high flying action with all the favourite moves from the superman, can-can and the amazing back flip to name but a few.

TrialStar also make a welcome return to the 2011 show, Trialstar performs the very best of motorcycle arena trials specialists performing amazing feats of bravery riding motorcycles over cars, skips, jumps and 6ft high garden sheds to name but a few mind-boggling obstacles.

Event organisors say, “If that is not enough, the riders are amazingly skilled entertainers who thrive on giving a fantastic show for all to see in total safety.” With the promise that the event will be even bigger and better this year.

Also in attendance will be BikeSafe which is run by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), with support from motorcycle industry partners, aimed at reducing the number of motorcycle related casualties. Bikesafe will be running its rider assessment ride outs, which offers riders the main lessons to learn be how to identify your riding mistakes and bad habits, their consequences and how they can be corrected.

For those with an eye on dressing well the ever popular fashion show will include clothing lines from top high street brands. All this complimented by spectacular lighting, music, song and dance.

For the enthusiast some of the finest machinery ever made and restored will be on display and for the younger generation ensure that they visit the climbing wall and see Simon the clown.

Plenty of Hot Food will be available from various outlets including the Facilities Coffee Shop.

Ride It Rights Trevor Baird said, “The event is the ideal opportunity to promote the message of responsible motorcycling to riders and our “SEE US” campaign, which highlights to other vehicle drivers to be motorcycle aware.”

Ride It Right is the only initiative in Northern Ireland that focuses specifically through a partnership of organizations that have the same common goal – to reduce motorcycle casualties.

The purpose is to engage with motorcyclists in Northern Ireland by working with a variety of partners and stakeholders with the motorcycle community (individuals and motorcycle clubs) to promote responsible motorcycling in order to reduce motorcycle casualties with a secondary effect of making other vehicle drivers motorcycle aware.
