OZ Biker Film At NW 200

Right To Ride says that while all roads lead to next weeks NW 200 road races, you can view the premier of a fantastic OZ Biker film which is to premiere at the NW 200 race week.

This years North West 200 race week will be the setting for the premiere screening of a new feature documentary following two local journalists, Geoff Hill and Colin O’Carroll on a once in a lifetime 15,000 mile motorcycle odyssey around Australia.

‘OZ, Around Australia on a Triumph’ follows a format similar to the highly successful Long Way Round series and has been produced as a feature documentary and a series, a book and a website (adelaideadventures.com) by Belfast based production company Bluebird Media.

The marathon journey which took two and a half months to complete begins and ends in Adelaide and was suitably sponsored by Adelaide Insurance Services -specialists in motorcycle insurance, UK wide and in the Republic of Ireland.

It is sure to prove popular with the NW200 crowds and anyone with even a passing interest in motorbikes, travel or adventure. Geoff and Colin explore the history and culture of Australia from Ned Kelly to the Gold Rush whilst checking out as many bikes as they can along the way and trying to get through The Outback and Western Australia unscathed.

A few famous faces also appear in the film, including Daniel Day Lewis who popped in to Philip McCallen’s motorcycle showroom on the first day of filming and agreed to a brief interview.

The film was shot, edited and directed by Matt Curry and Paul McParland of Bluebird Media and represents the most ambitious project the company have delivered to date.

It is destined for international festivals will be offered for broadcast sale around the world.
