Four of Right To Ride’s motorcycle club supporters are holding events in October, from a fund raiser to a scary Halloween Rock night to a “Cider Bash” with a bike show.

An event we haven’t been to in a long time is the Ballymena Classic Bike Show and AutoJumble this weekend from the 22-23 October 2010.

The event organisers say:
“A very special, exciting, once in a lifetime final show is being organised with a large number of past and present motorcycling personalities attending.”
“So far the sensational entry includes past six times World Champion Jim Redman, Ralph Bryans, Sammy Millar MBE, with his fabulous Museum Motorcycles – 1975 4 Cyl., Gilera and 1950 Bicilindrical Moto Guzzi, Brian Crighton with four ex works Rotary Nortons from the National Motorcycle Museum Birmingham, we are to have one of the seven only manufactured fantastic Honda 6’s and ex works MV3.”
“The famous Autojumble will be a feature of the show with leading traders entered from the Great Britain, Republic of Ireland and locally. The great Villiers Services Stall who supply everything for that popular 2 stroke and also recondition engines at very low cost. Again we are pleased to have the great Kidderminster Motorcycle stall, Grins superb Triumph parts stall plus other Mainland and local stallholders. Again we are having the Dunlop Tractor Spares Stall to cater for all tractor enthusiasts.”

Road Safety Awareness Day
Meanwhile down or up the road, Glenravel & District Community & Residents’ Association are hosting a “Road Safety Awareness Day” at the Glenravel Sports & Community Complex, Cushendall Road, Cargan on Saturday 23rd October 2010 from 11.00am to 4.00pm.
The aim of the event is to highlight the issues of road safety and excessive speed.
Attendees will include;
- PSNI, including two advanced police motorcyclists providing information on Bikesafe
- PSNI Modified Mitsubishi Evo
- UTV – with TV Cameras
- NI Fire & Rescue Service including demonstration on cutting victims from car crash simulation
- Ballymena Borough Council
- SEVEN FM
- DRD Roads Service
- Halfords
- Ride It Right
Refreshments will be available – Hot Food/Ice Cream/Sweet Shop.
