Hairy Bikers' Family Cook Off!

The BBC are looking for a family to be crowned “Best Cooking Family” by the Hairy Bikers.

The brand new cookery show called the ‘Hairy Bikers’ Cook-Off’ will be on at 5.15pm on BBC2 every week day between October and December 2010.

Each day two family teams (each composed of three people) will come on the show – they will show off their signature dish, learn top tips from the Hairy Bikers, Si King and Dave Myers and try out a few challenges.

There will also be a celebrity guest each day.

Families can’t have professional cooking qualifications or make their living from cooking, but need to be passionate about cooking and eating, are able to demonstrate a favourite family dish that shows their ability and unique cooking style.

This is a contest for amateurs.

Any three relations from a family can apply – cousins, siblings, aunties, nieces, nephews, grandparents, couples, kids, inlaws etc

The BBC will be auditioning all around the UK in late July/early August and are very keen to include the people of Northern Ireland in their search.

Here at Right To Ride, one of us can definitely cook while the other can definitely eat, although there are arguments about fish and brown sauce.

So if you think you can cook and your family fits the bill, for example:  “Do any of you have any interesting habits, quirks or obsessions (that you are happy to talk about on TV  – can be food or non-food related!)”, then contact the BBC – details below.

Closing date: Monday 16th August 2010.
