Steve Baker Motorcycles first opened it’s purpose built service and repair centre in Millisle, in April 2007.
Having grown up around motorcycles and racing in the 250 Production class on a Suzuki X7 for a number of years, it was inevitable that he would train to be a motorcycle technician.
Formerly a mechanic for a national British125 GP team following the British Superbike Series, Steve ran the Steve Baker Motorcycles Suzuki GSXR 600 in the Irish Supersport championship for 2 seasons, with Bangorman Kevin Briggs, on board.
Currently, he is sponsoring and is mechanic and technical advisor to Cloughey’s Scott Thompson, on his Suzuki SV650 Irish Supertwin motorcycle.
Both Steve and his wife, Lorna, are avid motorcyclists, each riding a Honda Fireblade on the road, and a CBR 600 each on the track.

Steve also specializes in race bike and trackday bike preparation and supplies an extremely wide range of motorcycle tyres and accessories.
