Adelaide Insurance Services has recently completed a comprehensive refurbishment and expansion of their Boucher Road premises and has now rebranded as Cornmarket Insurance Services.
While the company will take on the Cornmarket name, it will maintain the Adelaide brand for its motorcycle scheme which is available across the UK and Ireland.
As far as all their other customer schemes are concerned their mantra will be, “same people, same service and same value for money.
Adelaide has been recognised as the leading UK insurance provider for “value for money” in 2012, 2013 and 2014 by the Auto Express magazine which surveys over 50,000 readers, and in the same period was awarded the prestigious Business in the Community Big Tick Award and the Aer Lingus Medium Company of the Year Award.
In 2004 the IAM awarded Adelaide “The Dominic Fox Award” for major contribution to road safety. The award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate outstanding road safety work, particularly activity that has directly or indirectly contributed to saving lives of young drivers and riders.
Since 2005, Adelaide has sponsored the “Safety Award” at the Irish Racer Awards in Northern Ireland. The award recognises those who have made substantial contributions to road safety each year.
In 2010 Right To Ride linked up with Adelaide Insurance Services to advocate and promote the need to improve safety and road skills for motorcyclists.
Adelaide has been working with the IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists) since 2005, promoting their “Skills for Life” course resulting in more skilled, controlled and confident bikers.
Sam Geddis founder of Adelaide Insurance Services who continues to play a major role in Cornmarket Insurance Services has been advocating the need for greater safety and road skills to his customers for many years. Sam has taken the significant step of taking and passing his IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorist) motorcycle test.
Adelaide has been actively involved in road safety since 1997 when they began working with the Police Service of Northern Ireland to promote BikeSafe, which provides a critical appraisal of motorcyclists’ riding skills through a short, free assessment of ability in key areas and offer insurance discounts to bikers who successfully complete the appraisal.
Adelaide estimates that as a result of this relationship, 3000 bikers improved their riding skills by successfully completing the BikeSafe assessment.
In 2010 the Adelaide Advanced Motorcyclists (Affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Motorists) was officially formed, the Group President is Phillip McCallen from Phillip McCallen Motorcycles, with Gary McComb of Bikesafe as Chairperson.
The main focus of the Adelaide Advanced Motorcyclists which delivers the IAM’s Skills for Life Programme which prepares each rider for the test through regular one-to-one sessions with a qualified IAM Observer and various group ride-outs and seminars, is to help make riders safer and more responsible on our roads. Emphasis is on progressive riding and staying one step ahead of other road users by knowing how to predict hazards and accurately assess road and traffic conditions.
Adelaide Motorbike Insurance are officially appointed by IAM to provide motorcycle insurance to their members. Under their IAM Advanced Riders product, they can offer very competitive premiums – in fact, 92% of IAM advanced riders get a lower quote when they contact us.
